We are thrilled to welcome our new staff members, Ariana Rodriguez-Goris ad Kathryn Moore, to our team! Read on to learn a little bit more about them.

Ariana Rodriguz-Goris is the new Volunteer Program and Communication Coordinator at The Center for Sexual Assault Survivors, where she supports the organization’s mission through volunteer engagement, outreach, and strategic communication. With a background in administrative support and freelance experience in web design, graphic design, and social media management, she brings a creative and detail-oriented approach to community building and advocacy.


Her work is driven by a deep commitment to creating safe, informed, and inclusive spaces for survivors and those impacted by sexual violence. Through coordinating volunteer programs and developing meaningful digital content, she strives to amplify the voices of survivors and foster a strong, engaged community. When she’s not working, Ariana enjoys exploring new creative projects and supporting up and coming local artists and businesses.

Kathryn Moore our new Victim Advocacy and Community Outreach Coordinator at The Center. She has held this position since March 2025. Kathryn has over 25 years of experience and knowledge working within the criminal justice system.


Prior to joining The Center, Kathryn worked for The Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Alliance as a Crisis Team Manager, where she managed staff who were Advocates on the Virginia Statewide hotline. Kathryn’s previous employments also include working as a Statewide Victim Advocate for the Office of the Virginia Attorney General, Victim Advocate and Community Outreach Coordinator with the Hampton Victim Services Unit, Group Facilitator and Victim Services Supervisor at The House of Ruth in Baltimore, MD, and as a Probation and Parole Officer with the Virginia Department of Corrections. Kathryn has also served as an Adjunct Instructor in Criminal Justice at Bryant and Stratton University.


Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Governmental Administration/Criminal Justice from Christopher Newport University and a Master of Arts degree in Human Services from Capella University. Kathryn is also a certified Victim Advocate with the National Advocate Credentialing Program. Kathryn brings extensive experience in direct service advocacy for survivors of sexual assault and provides crisis intervention, court and hospital accompaniment, emotional support, and safety planning for victims and survivors.
