Victim Services & Program Manager

The Center is seeking a Victim Services & Program Manager to join our team in Newport News. This position plays a key role in supporting survivors through compassionate, trauma-informed advocacy and coordinating program services that strengthen our mission.

About the Role

​

This role oversees victim services programming, supports direct service delivery, and ensures high-quality, survivor-centered care across all services.

 

Key Responsibilities

​

  • Provide leadership and oversight of victim services programming

  • Support and guide direct service staff and advocacy efforts

  • Ensure trauma-informed, survivor-centered practices across services

  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders

  • Maintain program documentation and reporting as required

Victim Advocate & Community Engagement Coordinator

The Center for Sexual Assault Survivors is seeking a Victim Advocate & Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team in Newport News. This position provides trauma-informed advocacy and support services to survivors of sexual assault while also strengthening community engagement, partnerships, and prevention efforts.

 

About the Role

 

This role provides direct survivor-centered advocacy, crisis intervention, and case support while also coordinating community outreach and engagement efforts to expand access to services and increase awareness.

​

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy and crisis support to survivors

  • Conduct intakes, safety planning, and assist survivors with system navigation (medical, legal, and social services)

  • Accompany survivors to hospital exams, court, and related appointments as needed

  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders

  • Support outreach, education, and awareness activities within the community

  • Participate in on-call crisis response rotation for hotline coverage

Maintain accurate documentation and support program reporting requirements
