Walk in Their Shoes 2024

Let's Do a Little More in 2024!

STORY

Walk in Their Shoes is The Center for Sexual Assault Survivors' largest fundraiser of the year! It is a walk of solidarity to show survivors that we believe and support them, no matter who they are or their story.

It's a march to bring awareness of the issues of sexual violence to our community and to give hope and resources on how we can end sexual violence together. Sexual violence is an issue that affects all groups of people from all walks of life. We want our event to be reflective of that diversity.

Who participates?

Are you passionate about raising awareness and taking action against sexual assault in our community? If so, we invite you to join us in our cause. Visit our website at www.visitthecenter.org/wits-2024 to learn more about our upcoming walk. There, you'll find more information on our walk as well register, create teams, and donate to the Walk in Their Shoes fundraiser.

Ready to make a difference? Register your team today at www.visitthecenter.org/wits-2024. Every contribution counts, and donations of any size are greatly appreciated. A $25 donation qualifies you for an event t-shirt. Best of all, your support directly benefits The Center for Sexual Assault Survivors, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to serving the peninsula as its sole rape crisis center. Don't miss the opportunity to support this important cause and make a positive impact.

When & Where?

Saturday, April 27th, 2024

Walk Begins at 9:00AM: Join us live and walk with us in Peninsula Town Center!

Walk alongside us and show your support for survivors while learning from our community partners. Don't miss out on raffles and other exciting offerings!

How does this impact the community?

Sexual violence profoundly impacts communities by fostering fear, eroding trust, and damaging social cohesion. It can lead to psychological trauma, increased rates of mental health issues, and hinder the overall well-being and safety of community members. Through supporting WITS 2024 we can create a safer community together and continue to provide free and confidential services to survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones. These completely free services include individual counseling, support group counseling, medical and court advocacy, a 24/7 crisis hotline, community education and training.
